Bromo Ijen tour Highlight
This tour package is good to experience the city life and adventurous mountain exploration. Surabaya is the second big city in Indonesia which is always busy with factory, trades, and other industry; while mount Bromo and mount Ijen is the only mountain in Indonesia where the people can find sulfur mining. It is a wonderful trek to reach the crater as we drive 4 WD Jeep and horseback ride.
Mount Ijen Tour Itinerary :
Day 1 : Arrival Surabaya – Bondowoso (L)
Our excursion team meets you at the arrival hall of Juanda International airport before 12.00 am then drives down to Bondowoso town for approximately 4 hours to find the hotel. Before reaching the hotel we stop at a local restaurant for lunch. Enjoy your wonderful night at the Hotel.
D2. Bondowoso – Ijen Crater – Mount Bromo (B, L)
Wake up call at 01.00 am then warm up the body with a cup of coffee to prepare for the trek on a spectacular Bromo Ijen tour. Drive down to Paltuding, the village where we start climbing up mount Ijen Crater. We will reach Paltuding at about 04.00 am. Then start trekking Mount Ijen to see a gigantic panorama of the crater lake. Besides, we will also witness the local people’s daily activity collecting sulfur from the crater. We finish the mount Ijen tour at 08.00 then return to the hotel to take a shower and have breakfast. As soon as we check out from the hotel we proceed to our amazing trip to Probolinggo. We will provide you with lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, we check in at the Hotel.
Day 3 : Mount Bromo Sunrise – Departure (B)
We wake up at 03.00 am then prepare a warm coat due to the weather on Mount Bromo is quite cold. As in Bondowoso; before leaving the hotel we also have tea or coffee time to warm up the body. Then set out on a Bromo Ijen tour with a car drive to Cemoro Lawang vehicle park. We go on foot or take a 4 WD Jeep (personal account) to Penanjakan from where we can see the beautiful silhouette of the sunrise. After enjoying an amazing sunrise we proceed to the Sea of Sand by jeep, then ride a horseback (optional) or just walk on the Sea of Sand to reach the base of Mount Bromo. Furthermore, walk up on the short stairs to the crater rim of Mount Bromo. After exploring mount Bromo we drive back to the hotel to take a rest and have breakfast. Enjoy your leisure time at the hotel.
Day 4 : Departure (B)
After having breakfast, you may hang out around the hotel while waiting for pick up service to onward the trip to the next destination.
