Yes!!! It is absolutely an adventure. Lombok Island offers a world-class trekking package with Mount Rinjani at 3,726 MASL as the main destination. It’s very famous for the breathtaking view of Segara Anak crater lake and its challenging trekking route. Experience the best of Mount Rinjani in 3 days. The Sembalun–Torean trek covers the summit, crater lake, natural hot springs, and the stunning Torean jungle. Other alternatives include Pergasingan Hill, the Sembalun 7 Summits, or light eco-tourism hikes to Tiu Kelep and Sendang Gile Waterfalls. The Lombok trekking adventure starts on day two from Sembalun Village with a few hours of hiking across the spacious savanna. Feel your pride as you watch the sunrise after conquering the summit of Mount Rinjani on day three. Afterwards, we trek down to Segara Anak crater lake and soak in the hot spring water. Your Lombok trekking adventure ends at Torean Village on day four.
Day 1 : Arrival – Senaru
Meet and greet service at Lombok International Airport, then drive to Pusuk Monkey Forest to see the tame monkeys playing along the roadside. Afterwards, we continue to Senaru Village for your hotel check-in. The village is located in the foothills of Mount Rinjani. In the afternoon, we take a short walk from the hotel to the slope of Mount Sangkareang to visit Sendang Gile Waterfall, one of the highest waterfalls on the island. Enjoy the stunning scenery around the slope. Rest well to prepare for tomorrow’s Rinjani trekking program.
Day 2 : Senaru - Sembalun – Plawangan Sembalun Crater Rim 2,639 MASL
After breakfast, we depart from the hotel to Sembalun Village. Upon arrival, we register at the Rinjani Trekking Information Center. On the Lombok trekking program, we hike across the vast open savanna. We then continue to the legendary steep climb known as “Bukit Penyesalan” – The Hill of Regret. The estimated trekking duration for the day is 7-8 hours. We will reach Plawangan Sembalun crater rim in the afternoon. The tents are set up right on the crater’s edge. Enjoy the stunning views of Segara Anak crater lake and Mount Agung in Bali from 2,639 MASL. Dinner is served at the camp. We sleep early to prepare for the midnight summit trek.
Day 3 : Summit 3,726 MASL – Segara Anak – Hot Spring – Plawangan Torean
The trek starts at 2:00 AM. We hike uphill through volcanic sand for approximately 3-4 hours to reach the summit of Mount Rinjani. Enjoy a 360° sunrise with breathtaking views of Lombok, Bali, and Sumbawa Island. After 30 minutes at the summit, we descend back to camp for breakfast. We then continue trekking down to Segara Anak Lake at 2,000 MASL for about 3 hours. Lunch will be served by the lake. Next, we soak in the natural sulfur hot springs for muscle recovery. In the afternoon, we hike uphill for 2 hours to Plawangan Torean. The second night’s camp is quieter and more dramatic, with a view of the lake from the west side. This is the longest trekking day, with a total duration of 12-13 hours.
Day 4 : Plawangan Torean – Torean Village – Senggigi
After breakfast and enjoying the sunrise, we trek down through the Torean forest for approximately 5-6 hours. On this scenic route, we will pass Goa Susu – the Milk Cave – with its sulfur water droplets. We then cross the white river seven times. The stunning Penimbungan Waterfall can be seen from a distance. We arrive at Torean Village in the afternoon, then drive to Senggigi for your hotel accommodation.
Day 5 : Departure (Breakfast)
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. The day is free at leisure while waiting for airport transfer to onward the trip to the next destination.

2. Sea Transportation
Ferry
For economic class travellers and backpackers, public ferry is a low price transportation. You may reach Lembar harbor of west Lombok from Padang Bai harbor of Bali and Kayangan seaport of east Lombok from Poto Tano seaport of Sumbawa. The ferry trip from Padang Bai to Lembar takes about 4 hours and from Poto Tano to Kayangan is around 1,5 hours. The Ferry departs from Padang Bai to Lembar hourly and the departure from Poto Tano to Kayangan is every 2 hours.
Executive class ferry
The travellers who prefer long lasting journeys in a comfortable vessel, some sea transportation companies offer several executive class ferries from Tanjung Perak seaport of Surabaya, East Java to Gili Mas seaport of Lembar, West Lombok. The travellers may choose some ferries as a choice, i.e. Legundi, Kirana, and Dharma Rucitra VIII. The journey takes approximately 30 hours.
Fast Boat
Fast boats are now becoming a trendy form of transportation from Bali to Lombok. Some boats embark in Padang Bai harbor; and some others in Serangan Jetty. 8. Tetebatu
Tetebatu is one of many beautiful villages you will find during your trip in Lombok. If you spend enough time in this village your stress will disappear and all your dreams will come true.
