In this adventure trip we will take you to explore Kelor, Rinca, and Flores islands. The exploration start from Labuhan Bajo harbor of West Flores. We ride an air conditioned boat in the morning on Sumba strait for a breathtaking marine life in the beach of Kelor island. After marine activities we move on Rinca island trekking. We walk in the forest to discover Komodo dragon lizards and other wild animals live in their natural habitat. After an amazing trek we ride the boat back to the harbor to set out on a wonderful Flores island exploration. We drive through beautiful traditional villages, fields, hills, and valleys. Occasionally the native people with their unspoiled culture will greet you “Halo apa kabar” which means “Hi how are you”. We finish the exploration with a soft trekking to the top of Mount Kelimutu to discover the wonder of Kelimutu three colors lake.
Komodo adventure trip itinerary :
D1: Arrival – Labuhan Bajo – Kelor – Rinca – Kalong (L,D)
Meeting service at Komodo airport of Labuhan Bajo by our guide. Then drive down to the harbor to prepare an AC boat for a very spectacular Komodo adventure trip. We firstly to sail to Kelor Island for swimming or snorkeling. Indeed, it is really amazing day as you will see the underwater view of colorful fish and coral reefs. Lunch will be provided on board. Furthermore, proceed the trip to Loh Buaya pier of Rinca island from where we start trekking to explore Komodo dragon lizards and other wild animals. Afterwards, we go back to the pier to continue sailing to Kalong island. We will see flying foxes around a huge tree near the beach. After that we may enjoy the wonderful night and dinner on board.
D2 : Rinca – Kelor – Labuhan Bajo – Ruteng (B,L,D)
Enjoy the wonderful time with last day sailing exploration to Kelor Island. As soon as we anchor the boat at the pier we trek the trail to see a breathtaking scenery of the Island and surrounding. The crew serve you breakfast on board. Furthermore, we sail back to Labuan Bajo harbor to continue the Komodo adventure holiday on Flores island. We firstly drive down to Ruteng, a town located in central Flores. It is a really a fantastic trip since we pass through villages, rice field, and valleys. We will stop at Cara village and Cancar spider form rice field to capture a beautiful photo. The guide will prepare you lunch en route. We will reach Ruteng late afternoon. Dinner and stay overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Ruteng – Bajawa (B/L/D)
After having breakfast at hotel we set out on a spectacular tour to Bajawa town which is geographically situated on the highland of Flores Island. The beauty of foggy forest, soaring volcano, and valleys make your Komodo adventure trip to Flores Kelimutu lake more fantastic. In addition, we will also discover the wonder of Mano rice terrace field and Ranamese crater lake. Lunch will be provided at local restaurant. Furthermore, continue driving to Aimere village to witness the villagers produce local alcoholic drink from palm shaft. Enjoy your night and dinner at hotel.
Day 4: Bajawa – Ende – Moni (B/L/D)
Breakfast is served at hotel. Then take a journey to Bena, the nicest traditional village on the Island. After that continue driving to Boawae, the village belongs to Nage ethnic where we see a huge “Peo”. Peo is wooden pole with forked end stand in the middle of the village. Besides, we will go also to Penggajawa beach to see the local people collect blue pebbles for sale. Late lunch will provided in Ende. Afterwards, we proceed the Komodo adventure tour to Moni for accommodation and dinner.
Day 5: Moni – Kelimutu – Maumere (B/L/D)
Early morning we drive up to the foot hill of Mount Kelimutu from where we climb the peak of the mountain. It will be a wonderful trek as we will see the beauty of the three colors lake. Afterwards, we continue our adventurous trip to Woligae traditional villages to explore the Lio ethnic’s daily life and their civilization. Some of typical Lio Houses are decorated with breast figure as the symbol of the fertility and prosperity. Lio people are also famous for ” Ikat Weaving Cloth”. We serve you lunch en route. After that we continue driving to Maumere. Enjoy your dinner and night at hotel.
Day 6: Maumere – Next Destination (B)
Breakfast at hotel, then enjoy the last day leisure time while waiting for airport transfer service to onward the trip to next destination. End of your Komodo adventure trip and Flores island exploration.
